Regional State administration together with Ministry of Internal Affairs will stimulate parents to get involved in solving the problem of infant delinquency

  The most effective way of overcoming the infant delinquency is the active position of parents in solving this issue. The Head of the department of MIA of Ukraine in the Kherson region Major General of militia Valeriy Litvin and the deputy head of the Management of Education and Science of the Regional State administration Evhenia Kulkina concurred with this decision during the round-table meeting dedicated to solving of this problem.

  Evhenia Kulkina noted that, in most cases offenses are committed just because of the influence of "environment", the behavior of parents, friends, people whom the child perceives as authority.

  "The example of parents and adults, then friends, peers, the Internet- all this factors are forming the child's behavior of today. Unfortunately, teachers in schools are not able to look after every child around the clock, so the role of parents is decisive in this issue,"- Evhenia Kulkina said.

  Valeriy Litvin, for his part, assured that his staffs are already actively working throughout the region with the parents who cannot cope with their duties. He also hopes that the results will rise, if to coordinate their actions with the actions of educators.

  According to reports of meeting participants, district inspectors, social workers and school psychologists will be more actively involved in working with parents. They will regularly improve the quality of their work by means of system of trainings and exchange of experience.

  In addition, Valeriy Litvin said that the new criminal code, which would be adopted in work by the internal affairs agency immediately after final approval, would greatly facilitate work and increase the effectiveness of work in this direction.

  "The new criminal code is the embodiment of the European model of work. We are actively joined in the work of its studying and we are also preparing to work under the new rules,"- Valeriy Litvin said.
